Enjoy a magical day learning about indigo and dyeing using a natural indigo dye vat. The class is designed for those new to indigo dyeing and wanting to experience a unique natural dye experience.

A pack of ready-to-dye materials will be provided for the class that includes cotton & wool fabric, silk & cotton embroidery thread and wool yarn. Silk scarves will be available to purchase for those who wish to dye them on the day, and Indigo dye kits for those who wish to continue dyeing after the class.

Guidance will be provided for basic shibori techniques.

Bring with you:

• 5ltr bucket or basin - for collecting drips when taking items out of vat

• Sewing kit - Coloured Sewing thread, Sewing Needles, Scissors (small thread cutting)

• Rubber gloves

• Notebook & pen/pencil

• Wear suitable clothing & shoes that you don’t mind getting splashed with dye
